FACTORY INTRODUCTION

ORIENTAL ENERGY(NINGBO) NEW MATERIAL CO., LTD

Oriental Energy (Ningbo) New Materials Co., Ltd currently operates two sets of 660,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation(PDH) units using UOP technology from the US, one set of a 400,000 tons/year polypropylene unit using INEOS technology, and two sets of 400,000 tons/year polypropylene units using Unipol technology. Additionally, the company also operates a hydrogen refueling station with a filling capacity of 8,000 m³/h and a polypropylene automated warehouse with storage capacity of 30,000 tons, which was the largest and most advanced of its kind in China at the time of its construction.
The Phase I propane dehydrogenation(PDH) unit at the Ningbo plant, since the completion of its major overhaul on September 30, 2022, has been operating continuously for over two years. It is scheduled to undergo another shutdown for maintenance on March 12, 2025. By that time, the Phase I PDH unit will have achieved a continuous operation period of 892 days, making it the longest single-run duration for a propane dehydrogenation unit globally to date.
The PP Phase III Line 2 has achieved a record-breaking continuous operation cycle of 1,010 days, setting a new benchmark for the longest operational cycle of a UNIPOL process unit in China. This remarkable achievement was recognized with a commemorative medal awarded by Grace. To date, the Ningbo plant's PP1 and PP3 units have been granted five authorized patents (including three utility model patents and two invention patents), one provincial-level honor, and two certifications.
Sales feedback and the actual production of the polypropylene units at the Ningbo plant shows that specialized products such as S2040/Y40, PPRMN70, K8003, and K8009 currently demonstrate significant advantages and enjoy high market demand. The primary sales market is in the East China region surrounding Ningbo. Among these, the specialized fiber-grade product S2040/Y40, characterized by its low oligomer content, excellent fluidity, and high-temperature resistance, is ideally suited for high-speed spinning, fine denier spinning, and non-woven fabrics. It is widely used in the production of masks, diapers, surgical gowns, and other applications. The domestic sales market is primarily East China, with a portion also allocated for export. This product stands as a top-selling item on the Juxitang online trading platform. The specialized product PPRMN70, developed using a novel high-efficiency non-phthalate catalyst provided by the licensor, is a thin-wall injection molding product (primarily used for producing disposable food containers, which are lightweight, highly transparent, odor-free, and cost-effective, earning high praise from downstream customers). This product boasts the advantages of being non-phthalate, slightly random, and low in ash content. In 2023, it was honored with the Second Prize of the Zhejiang Province Chemical Industry Science and Technology Award. The specialized products K8003 and K8009, known for their high impact resistance, are mainly used in injection molding applications. Their processed products are widely utilized in small home appliances, automotive components, plastic pallets, and more. These products enjoy large sales volumes and positive market feedback.

ORIENTAL ENERGY(ZHANGJIAGNAG) NEW MATERIAL CO., LTD

The Zhangjiagang base currently operates a 600,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit and a 400,000 tons/year polypropylene unit, along with supporting utility facilities. The 600,000 tons/year PDH unit employs the UOP Oleflex process, achieving a single-pass conversion rate of over 30% and producing hydrogen by-product with a purity of 99.99%. This provides low-cost, high-quality raw materials for polypropylene production. The 400,000 tons/year polypropylene unit utilizes GRACE's Unipol® gas-phase fluidized bed process, using propylene produced by the PDH unit as feedstock. The product structure is precisely tailored to market demand, with 40% being filament grade (used in traditional applications such as packaging and woven bags) and 60% being fiber grade (applied in high-value-added fields such as medical non-woven fabrics and high-end textiles), fully demonstrating flexible production capabilities. Additionally, the base supplies surplus propylene and hydrogen by-products to supporting enterprises within the chemical industrial park, achieving optimal capacity allocation.
The company successfully passed the triple system certification for Quality Management System GB/T 19001-2016, Environmental Management System GB/T 24001-2016, and Occupational Health Management System GB/T 28001-2011 on February 12, 2018. On January 17, 2022, it obtained the Energy Management System certification GB/T 23331-2020/ISO 50001:2018.

ORIENTAL ENERGY(MAOMING)COMPANY LIMITED

Oriental Energy (Maoming) Co., Ltd. currently operates a 600,000-ton-per-year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit, a 400,000-ton-per-year polypropylene (PP) unit, and a 200,000-ton-per-year synthetic ammonia unit, and possesses supporting storage areas, two 50,000 GT liquefied hydrocarbon berths, offshore pipe racks, and other utility and auxiliary facilities.
The PDH unit employs a novel low hydrogen-to-hydrocarbon ratio process technology, with raw material consumption significantly below the industry average. The synthetic ammonia unit utilizes the patented CASALE process package technology from Switzerland and commenced trial production in October 2024. It is currently the only synthetic ammonia facility in Guangdong Province.
The three major units, since commissioning, have maintained long-term stable operation, with process parameters remaining stable and controllable. All safety and environmental protection indicators have consistently met the required standards.
Oriental Energy has been steadfastly making innovation on the path to exploring sustainable development. In 2022, Oriental Energy and China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., leveraging their resource endowments and adhering to the principle of "establishing before transforming" , reached a consensus: to jointly build a zero-carbon industrial park in Maoming, aligned with the national goals of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality". The both parties aim to break through the EU CBAM barriers, promote the integrated development of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors and the petrochemical industry, jointly develop high-molecular materials and the hydrogen energy industry, and build a stable, green, independent, and affordable power source, exploring new paths for energy security. Additionally, they planned to jointly research hydrogen production with high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, attempt distributed hydrogen production, and pursue the realization of future energy solutions. They also agreed to establish an industrial fund, take mutual equity stakes, and set an example for cooperation between state-owned and private enterprises, achieving new breakthroughs in China's economic development and continuously shaping new dynamics and advantages. In October 2022, the two parties jointly established “CNNC Oriental Maoming Green Energy Co., Ltd.” and they have supported each other on this fertile land in Maoming, achieving one goal after another and making new breakthroughs.
On May 21, 2024, a ten-thousand-ton T1000 carbon fiber production line with independent IPR commenced construction at the Maoming base, and is scheduled to be completed by 2025. This project fills a technological gap both at home and abroad, showcasing the company's innovative capabilities. The project also injects new momentum into strategic emerging industries in Guangdong, making a demonstration of synergistic growth between enterprise development and regional economy. The project focuses on advancing polypropylene + carbon fiber composite materials, driving the extension of industrial chain value. By establishing a zero-carbon industrial park centered on the carbon fiber industry in Maoming, Guangdong, it aims to promote local industrial upgrading.
